The Mathematics and Computer Science Department will host the fourth Math Night at Elliott Elementary School on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. This fun-filled evening introduces students and their parents to many fascinating areas of mathematics. The evening begins with pizza in the cafeteria, followed by mathematical entertainment in the auditorium. Then, students and their parents visit activity stations where they play mathematical games, learn about different applications of mathematics and have lots of fun. Math Night is made possible by the support of the NWU Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, many NWU students, parents of Elliott students and Elliott principal, Deanne Currin. This year, Math Night’s featured entertainer is Mike Horner, ventriloquist extraordinaire, who has given spectacular performances for all previous Math Nights.
